Pinspired Photo Canvas

  I am absolutely in love with Pinterest.  A virtual pin board where I can collect ideas, quotes, craft projects and more, uh yes please!!  Sign me up.   I am constantly finding new things I want to pin and, more importantly, things I want to create.  
This last weekend I got started on a few of the projects I have been just itching to make since they caught my eye and I've already finished one.  So today I am linking up with Kodi from A Brighter Yellow for her Pinspired Thursdays.
A little back story on this project:  One of my very best friends got married on the 24th of September.  She, of course, had her wedding registry but I wanted to give her something more.  We have been friends since we met almost 15 years ago and I wanted to give her something special that she wouldn't be able to find anywhere else.  Something from the heart.  This led me to Pinterest.

Making your own photo canvas!!  I'm in!  I love the look of canvas but figured that it would be insanely hard to do it yourself.  Sarah's post though, makes it incredibly easy.

So I took this idea and ran with it, adding personal touches and making it my own.  I created a black and white (the wedding colors) photo canvas with a quote (also found on Pinterest) for the newly married couple.

It's not perfect by any means, I definitely need to practice this one some more but I love how easy it was.

I love the way it turned out and best of all, my friends love it!  It made the perfect wedding gift for someone who has been like a sister to me all these years.
