Pinspired Canvas Quote

It probably won't come as much of a surprise to most of you, but I love being crafty.  I love projects.  Sewing, crafting, painting, whatever.  There is something about getting all of those creative juices flowing that just seems to relax me.  Even if some of my "projects" don't always turn out perfect, it's still fun to try right?

Well the past few weeks I have been wanting to make something for Nicholas' room but I just wasn't sure what.  Again, I turned to Pinterest for inspiration.  I mean, who couldn't be inspired by Pinterest?

Anyway, I found this quote and immediately knew that I wanted to use it.

I knew I wanted this in his room but again, I was stuck at how exactly I wanted to incorporate it.  So once again, you guessed it, I found myself looking around on Pinterest.  Here is what I found.

Wood letters on canvas.  Simple yet, something different.  I still had some canvas panels left over my project last week so all I needed was a plan.  I like the look of the canvas and letters being all one color but decided I wanted something a little different for Nick's room.

I found some craft paint (black and white) and painted one canvas panel black.  I left the other one the original white and split the quote into two parts and painted half of the letters black and half white.

Then I simply stuck the letters onto the canvas with one of my favorite crafty products.

That was pretty much it.  See I told you it was pretty simple.  Here is how mine turned out.

I plan on sticking them in frames and hanging them in Nicholas' room with a few of the photos we had taken of him right after he was born.  I have to remember to post a picture once it's complete.
