Wow, I always seem to be just a few days behind with these updates don't I? Ah well, such is life I guess. I think I'm just gonna blame it on the fact that I am still reeling from the shock of realizing that my baby is now 6 months old. HALF A YEAR!! Really?!? Wasn't he just born like yesterday? That's how I remember it anyway.
Alright now, my denial time is over, time for the update.
Nicholas, you are now 6 months old. Where the time went, I have absolutely no idea. It's seems crazy to me that in another 6 months we will be celebrating your first birthday.
You are such a smart little boy and you love mimicking the sounds that daddy and I make. You are also incredibly sweet and smile at everyone around you. You make strangers laugh as you giggle at them when we pass them in the grocery store.
This month you realized that our cat is a living, breathing creature and you think that she would make a great toy. Unfortunately, she is not too fond of you grabbing her tail and tries to keep her distance whenever possible.
You're eating 2 meals of solid food each day along with your bottles and while we are still learning what foods you can and can't have, I can definitely say that squash is your favorite.
You're sitting up on your own like a champ and you want so badly to crawl and try all the time, you just haven't quite gotten the hang of it yet. At any rate, it won't be long now until you're mobile and daddy and I will be spending the next few weekends baby proofing the house.
You love books and sit so patiently on my lap while we read stories every night before bed.
We go to the doctor tomorrow and will find out how much you have grown then but I already know it's a ton. You are so long that you are already beginning to outgrow some of your 6-9 month clothes.
You are growing and learning so quickly that it's hard to keep up with you sometimes. We have officially left behind your newborn days and you are now turning into your own little person and I love watching you change every day. I am so happy that I have the opportunity to stay at home with you since I know that I would miss so much each day if I didn't.
I am so looking forward to this next month because you will get to experience your very first Halloween and I can't wait. Until next month little man, mommy and daddy love you very much and can't wait to see how much you change and grow throughout this month.

I think six months is the month that I miss the most! Great pictures, he's adorable!
ReplyDeleteHappy 6 months (late!).
