Who doesn’t love a clean house? I know I do! What I don’t love is using a ton of commercial cleaners with harsh fumes to get it there.
So I’ve been switching over to natural, homemade cleaners for a while now and I don’t think I will be going back anytime soon. They get your house just as clean without the harsh chemicals and toxic fumes.
This also goes for your oven! I know, the oven is really easy to overlook
sometimes but, it’s where you cook your family’s food. It should be clean right?
Using this natural homemade cleaner it can be, and you won’t have to worry about the fumes and chemicals invading your home.

Natural Oven Cleaner:
Tools:
Paintbrush (or pastry brush)
2 medium glass bowls
Scrubber sponge
Spoon
Ingredients:
1/2 cup natural liquid soap (1 tbs. if using store bought soap)
1 cup aluminum-free baking soda
1/2 cup borax
2-4 drops essential oil (optional)
1/4 cup white vinegar
Water (as needed)
1. Remove your oven racks and clean them separately
2. Pour your soap and other ingredients into a glass bowl and mix well (this should make a paste)
3. Paint this paste all over the interior surface of your oven with your paintbrush
4. Let it sit for 6-8 hours (or overnight if you can). It should foam up a bit.
5. Fill your second bowl with clean water. Dip your scrubber in water and wipe and repeat. Continue this until your oven looks as good as new! The grime and anything baked onto your oven should, at this point, easily wipe away.
Now, marvel at your clean oven. Which you achieved without any chemicals, fumes or major scrubbing!
