Friday recap and a some very exciting news!

Is it seriously Friday already?!?

I can't even begin to explain how quickly this week has flown by.  I had finals on Monday and Tuesday that pretty much kicked my butt.  Technical aspects of film...not my strong point.

Thankfully, we have all recovered from our nasty encounter with the flu.  Nicholas was not amused by the fact that he couldn't breathe through his nose and he made sure that every one around him knew just how unhappy it made him.

Our possible move is now a definite move because...

We bought our first house!!!

We couldn't be more excited.  We originally thought the process would take a lot longer, at least this is what we were told by our original loan officer.  I planned accordingly and then our loan officer decided he was a little swamped and handed our loan off to another banker.

 

Apparently, this particular banker likes to pretend he is Mr. Speedy Gonzalez and we are now moving much earlier than we thought.  Like next week!  Yes, unfortunately we are moving over Thanksgiving break since the hubby already has the time off, but we are moving into OUR house!!

I have been practically giddy all week picking out paint colors, looking at carpet samples and imagining our first family Christmas in a home of our own.  The only downside...packing.  I hate it with a passion.  We have moved so many times that when packing our belongings I become a well oiled machine, but I still dread it.

So this weekend will be filled with packing, cleaning, packing, organizing, packing, oh and more packing.  I do have some posts lined up until we are settled in a little but if anyone would like to guest post or be featured on a Featured Mommy Monday just shoot me an email at

Also, if any one has any tips on moving with a 7 month old I would love to hear them.  It definitely won't be easy and I would welcome any helpful tips you have!
