7 Months

Seriously, where does the time go?

It just doesn't seem possible that this little guy

is already 7 months old!

Nicholas, you are growing up so fast that, at times, it feels like if I even so much as blink, I'm going to miss something.

This month we finally got you in to see the dermatologist and that really seemed to help your eczema which, in turn, made you much happier.  You are constantly smiling (except when I try to take your picture) and giggling.

You love to watch the cat run back and forth between the living room and the kitchen and you try to catch her every time she jets past you.  On more than one occasion you have been successful and it really doesn't make the kitty cat very happy.

You still love Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and you squeal and giggle when you watch it in the morning while mommy gets ready for the day.

It seems like you really have no interest in crawling at all.  You either want to scoot across the floor on your tummy or try to pull yourself up to stand.  You love when mommy and daddy hold you up and help you walk, you get so excited.

You are still taking your reflux medications but it definitely seems to be improving.  You slept flat on your back for the first time a few days ago.  Believe me when I say that this was a big accomplishment.

You've started eating more solid foods, including foods that you are now picking up on your own.  So far we know that your allergies include milk, soy, rice, apples, peaches, and corn.  This has made finding foods that you can eat a little tricky but we just try to think of it as an adventure.  It is a lot of fun when we find a food and let you try it for the first time.  So far there isn't a food that you don't like.

As much as I try, you really don't like sitting still long enough to have your picture taken.

And you are so interested in what is going on around you.

You are changing so much every day and I'm really glad that I have the opportunity to stay at home with you and watch you grow everyday.

We love you Monkey and can't wait to see what this next month has in store for you.
