Thankful Thursdays

This week has been crazy busy for us  and while that really isn't anything new for us, this week Nicholas decided that he was going to start waking up every hour to hour and half at night.  Despite being absolutely exhausted this week, things could always be worse.  I am thankful for so many things in my life; however, I don't think I take the time to stop and remind myself of them often enough.  So today I decided to participate in my very first Thankful Thursdays link up.  So without further ado...

This week I am thankful for:

1)  This little guy

He keeps me on my toes, makes me laugh harder than I ever have before and makes me smile no matter what the day has been like.  My own stubbornness is no match for this child and by the end of each and every day I am beyond exhausted, but I wouldn't trade a moment of my time with him for anything.

2)  Fall

Fall is my absolute favorite time of year.  I love winter as well and can't wait for the holidays each year, but there is something about fall.  The falling leaves, the crisp, cool air, the warm colors as far as the eye can see.  I swear if you could jar the smell of fall, it would be sitting on my kitchen table.  I look forward to this time of year all year long and this morning I got my first glimpse.  After a pretty loud thunderstorm last night I woke up this morning to leaves on the ground.  The high temperature for today is supposed to hover around 70 and the leaves on the trees are showing hints of orange and yellow.  Perfection.

3) Today

Of all of the things I am thankful for, I am most thankful for the fact that today, for my 25th birthday, I get to spend the day with my two favorite people in the entire world.  My amazing husband and our little monkey.
