5 Months

(Life has been quite hectic the past few days so this is a day late but better late than never right!)

Nicholas, yesterday you hit the 5 month mark.  It is amazing to see how quickly you are growing up.  You have had a huge personality since the day you were born and it continues to get bigger each and every day.  You love watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, playing in your bouncer and spending time with your daddy.  Your eyes light up and you just can't stop giggling when you see daddy walk into the room. 

You continued trying more solid foods this month.  We are still learning what foods you can and can't have and this month we learned that you are allergic to apples.  I've never known anyone that was allergic to apples but I guess that just makes you one of a kind.  You've also tried squash and avocado and you loved them both.

You sat up on your own for the very first time yesterday.  Daddy and I were so excited but you didn't seem to think it was a very big deal.  At our last visit to the doctor last week you weighed 17 lbs. 8 oz.  I can't believe how big you are getting.  In just a few short weeks you will be 6 months old. HALF A YEAR!  Time is slipping by way too fast.

I love you more than words can say and although I wish you would stay my little baby just a little while longer I can't wait to watch you as you learn and grow over the next month.  Happy 5 months baby boy!
